Botanical Blends is a distributor and retailer. We do not manufacture anything — we carry established third-party brands in single-serving flavored formats for adults 21+, and we screen each one against third-party lab work before it reaches the shelf.

Cat's Claw, one of the categories we carry, is a woody tropical vine native to the Amazon rainforest in South America. It takes its name from the curved, hooked thorns that grow along its stems. The inner bark and root have a long history of traditional use by Indigenous peoples of the Amazon — history and cultural context, which is not the same thing as evidence that the plant produces any particular effect, and we are careful not to blur the two.

This is the part we want to be unambiguous about, because it is the question we get most often.

• No kratom. Nothing in our products is derived from Mitragyna speciosa.
• No mitragynine.
• No 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH), and no 7-OH extracts or concentrates.

Cat's Claw and kratom are different plants with different compositions. The DEA's July 2026 scheduling action covers 7-OH above a specified threshold and related kratom-derived compounds — none of which are present in what we carry. We describe our products by what they contain, not by comparison to anything else. We do not claim our products replicate the effects of kratom, 7-OH, or any other substance, and we would encourage you to be skeptical of anyone in this category who does.

Every batch is tested by an accredited third-party laboratory, and we publish the batch certificates of analysis rather than describing them. A COA that you cannot actually read is a marketing claim, not a test result.

Adults 21 and over. Our products are not intended for anyone who is pregnant or nursing, and botanical extracts can interact with prescription medications — including blood thinners, blood pressure medications, and immunosuppressants. If you take medication or manage a medical condition, talk to a qualified healthcare professional before using any botanical supplement.

This is a category with a lot of loose language in it. Products get described with confident claims about how they will make you feel, and mg figures get quoted that turn out to measure total blend mass rather than anything specific.

Our approach is narrower on purpose: tell you the botanical, tell you what is not in it, publish the lab work, and let you decide. That is a slower pitch. It is also the one that is still true in a year.
