If you use a verification service such as GovX ID, ID.me or SheerID, describe the flow here: verify once, receive a single-use code, apply it at checkout. That approach is worth the setup cost — it issues one code per verified person, so the discount cannot be shared publicly, and you never receive or store anyone's identity documents.

If you verify manually instead, say exactly what to send and where. Be aware you will then be handling ID documents by email, which carries real privacy obligations under your privacy policy.

One point worth knowing: because free shipping is calculated on the order total after discounts, a discount can drop a cart below the $75 free-shipping threshold. If you are close to it, that is worth checking before you complete the order.
